Manufacturer: Eli Lilly
Pharmaceutical name: Tadalafil
Pack: 1 pack (28 pills (5 mg))
Cialis (Tadalafil) is a medication that relaxes muscles and enhances blood circulation in specific areas of the body. It is prescribed for men experiencing erectile dysfunction (impotence).
Do not use Cialis if you have an allergy to Tadalafil, or if you are taking a nitrate medication for chest pain or heart issues, such as nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate, and isosorbide mononitrate, or recreational substances like amyl nitrate or nitrite ("poppers"). Combining Cialis with a nitrate can lead to a rapid and severe drop in blood pressure.
If you feel dizzy or nauseous during sexual activity, or if you experience pain, numbness, or tingling in your chest, arms, neck, or jaw, discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately. This could indicate a serious adverse reaction to the medication.
Do not take Cialis more than once daily. Wait 24 hours between doses. If you have an erection that is painful or lasts longer than 4 hours, seek medical help or contact your doctor. A prolonged erection (priapism) can cause damage to the penis.
Cialis may reduce blood flow to the optic nerve of the eye, leading to sudden vision loss. This has been reported in a small group of individuals taking Cialis, many of whom had pre-existing conditions such as heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or certain eye issues, and also included smokers or those over 50 years old. It remains unclear if Cialis is directly responsible for vision loss.
If you have any of the following conditions, you may require a dosage adjustment of Cialis or further testing: heart disease or rhythm disorders; recent heart attack (within the last 90 days); recent stroke or congestive heart failure (within the past 6 months); angina (chest pain); high or low blood pressure; liver or kidney disease (or if you are on dialysis); blood cell disorders like sickle cell anemia, multiple myeloma, or leukemia; bleeding disorders like hemophilia; a stomach ulcer; retinitis pigmentosa (a hereditary eye condition); physical deformities of the penis (such as Peyronie's disease); or if you have been advised against sexual intercourse for health
